چکیده

Abstract Microcystins (MCs) are found in aquatic settings and have detrimental effects on both human animal health. Their occurrence is influenced by the deposition of nutrients water further increased high temperatures which favor proliferation harmful algal blooms (HABs). Climatic conditions Africa growth HABs. Therefore, determination MC contamination African sources paramount importance. The use molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) for adsorption MCs has recently gained increasing interest selective rapid water. MIPs ideal adsorbents this purpose because their versatility environmental friendliness thus potential to replace conventional such as activated carbon silica composites. This review summarizes well detection methods used analysis. Secondly, common synthesis compared application efficacy towards investigated, with focus continent. An assessment current challenges proposed solutions also presented.

Citrinin selective molecularly imprinted polymers for SPE.

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) for citrinin (Cit) with 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid (HNA) as mimic template were prepared and the molecularly imprinted SPE method was developed for the detection of Cit in rice with HPLC. The adsorption properties of HNA and Cit on the MIPs and nonimprinted polymers were investigated. It proved that MIPs showed higher selectivity adsorption to HNA and Cit t...

Selective Extractions by Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs)

Sample preparation is often the rate-limiting step in analytical methods and its effectiveness has a critical impact on accuracy, quantification and, ultimately, the precision of any measurement. Traditionally, liquid–liquid extraction methods are frequently used for the extraction of organic analytes from aqueous samples. To overcome some of the disadvantages of liquid–liquid extraction (e.g.,...

Molecularly imprinted polymers for tobacco mosaic virus recognition.

Molecular imprinted Polymers (MIP) targeted for Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) have been synthesized. Batch equilibrium studies using imprinted and non-imprinted polymer hydrogels in TMV and TNV solutions were conducted to determine virus-binding capacities. TMV-imprinted hydrogels showed increased binding to TMV (8.8 mg TMV/gpolymer) compared to non-imprinted hydrogels (4.2 mg TMV/gpolymer). Furth...

Supramolecular recognition of estrogens via molecularly imprinted polymers

The isolation and preconcentration of estrogens from new types of biological samples (acellular and protein-free simulated body fluid) by molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction has been described. In this technique, supramolecular receptors, namely molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are used as a sorbent material. The recognition sites of MIPs were prepared by non-covalent multiple int...
